As many of you are aware, our dear friend, TJ Coursen went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2021 after his courageous 20-year battle with sarcoma. TJ's diagnosis and the surgeries in Germany brought the Penns Valley community together to help a neighbor in need. In 2008 the Hope Fund began, with TJ being the Vice President. Thanks to your support and the support of the community, to date we have helped over 300 Penns Valley families and have dispersed over $780,000 to help those that have been faced with a medical emergency or personal disaster. We pay major bills and never give cash. Your continued support of the Hope Fund is more than a blessing! We hope you will consider joining us as we celebrate HOPE in Penns Valley and honor TJ Coursen's birthday.
A Toast to TJ will be held on April 30, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Seven Mountains Wine Cellars, 324 Decker Valley Rd., Spring Mills, PA 16875. We have a fun day planned with live music featuring local artist Sgt. Bob, campfire stations with hot dogs and dessert, cornhole, silent auction items, and more. Additional food options will be available for purchase (Clem's BBQ and Rosie's Pierogies food trucks will be there) and wine and beer will also be available for purchase with the winery generously donating 10% of the sales to the HOPE Fund.
Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased on-line at Eventbrite.com or by mailing your payment to the HOPE Fund. Tickets ordered through the mail will be held at will call the day of event. We also have a number of sponsorship opportunities available for this event (categories are explained in more detail on our event page, A Toast to TJ), and are also available for purchase on Eventbrite.com.
