The HOPE Fund would like to thank Bryan Wasson for his hard and successful work for his senior project this year.  Bryan raised over 1,000 pumpkins and sold them on Saturday September 22 during his Fall Festival of HOPE.  Bryan created a day of activities and fun for families to attend which included a food stand, pumpkin painting/art, corn maze and other games with prizes.  Fall decorations like pumpkins, gourds, and indian corn could be purchased along with tickets for a raffle drawing to win multiple prizes that were donated by others.

A huge thank you goes out to TJ Maxx who have joined HOPE's ambassador anchor program as a $500 donor.  TJ Maxx's contribution has helped us to continue to provide financial assistance to residents in our community who are faced with medical emergencies or personal disasters. We are a unique organization in that we are 100 percent volunteer and we raise all of our own funding. We get no federal, state or local dollars. This makes all donations that much more critical. Donations like this enable us to do what we do.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Vera Bradley Bingo event on October 17, 2014.  Nearly 200 bingo players entered the Centre Hall Potter Elementary School Friday evening anxious to play to win!  There were many wonderful prizes for the bingo participants as well as additional raffel ticket prizes, a 50/50 drawing and a variety of food available for purchase.

A big thank you to everyone who participated in the 5K 10K Run for HOPE on October 11, 2014.  About 40 participants arrived eager to race on Saturday morning in Aaronsburg at the Dutch Fall Festival.  A huge thank you goes out to Joan Karp who spent a great deal of time organizing and planning this event and all of our many sponsors and volunteers who helped to make this race a success!  Penns Valley is fortunate to have all of you helping to give HOPE to our community!  .
