The Hope Fund will again be participating in Centre Gives, the 36-hour online giving this year starting 9AM May 11 - May 12 ending at 9PM. We greatly appreciate your generousity and continued support to help a Penns Valley resident who has faced a medical issue or personal disaster. Everyone who donates can be PROUD knowing their contributions have helped over 250 Penns Valley families. Since 2008, we have dispersed over $710,000 to help an individual/family with short-term financial assistance paying one's mortgage/rent, electricity, medical bills, heating fuel, and provided them with food and gas cards. There is so much community support, now more than ever with Covid-19. We are BLESSED that we have been able to partner with several non-profit organizations to help provide food in the valley to an increasing number of children, parents, elderly, and veterans….No one deserves to go hungry! The community made and donated over 1,100 face masks to those in need and to businesses in Penns Valley.
Unfortunately, many of our biggest fundraisers did not occur in 2020. However, Covid did not stop the generous donations throughout the year. Donations through Centre Gives last year were 19%. It would be wonderful to see that percentage increase to 25% this year. Any amount donated is considered a GENEROUS donation to help someone in need and can make a big difference in someone’s life. Your donation during Centre Gives adds stretch money to our Hope Fund pool of money! The more money an organization raises, the greater the portion of the $200,000 stretch pool, $100,000 bonus stretch pool, and $40,000 in prizes that organization will receive. THANK YOU!
