Thank You from Christmas of HOPE 2019

Tue, 01/21/2020 - 11:16pm -- hopefund
Thank you to Thrivent for supporting our Toiletry and Hat and Glove Drives!

Christmas of Hope would like to thank everyone who helped in any way with our mission of providing Christmas to local children from Penn's Valley who would not had a Christmas otherwise! You helped us put smiles on 85 children's faces on Christmas morning and we could not have done it without you!!

All of our angels who helped by either sponsoring,  donating their time or money for shopping, inventorying, organizing gifts, donating and organizing items for our toiletry and a hat and glove drive are so much appreciated!  A special thank you goes out to Brown's tree farm, the parents and members of the Centre County Sharks softball team, Grace United Methodist Church, Pediatric Dental Care, PSU Alumni, employees of the Restek Corporation, the ladies of St. John's Union Church, St. Luke's Lutheran Church, and Thrivent for their help with our program!  We also deeply appreciate Trinity United Church of Christ who provided much needed space for us to receive, process and dispense the Christmas gifts.  We are so blessed!

Each child in our program received a new pillow case that was provided by Thrivent and filled with toiletry items that were donated by the Penns Valley elementary school students, the local community and Pediatric Dental Care in Port Matilda.  They also received new clothing, underwear, socks, and a few non clothing items from their sponsors. Hats and gloves were provided for each child by PSU Alumni, Thrivent and Christmas of HOPE.  Faith based gifts were provided by Christmas of Hope,  handmade blankets were provided by St John's Union Church, a Christmas dinner for the families was provided by St. Luke's Lutheran Church and Brown's tree farm provided a tree for a local family.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and help as we give HOPE to the youth (and their parents) with limited means in the Penns Valley area.  May God richly bless each and everyone of you!
